Another busy week 02/08/2010
The Bobby Moore Fund Fashion Event went well last Saturday, with rehearsals starting at 11am, the catwalk event starting at 6.30pm and the aftershow party music going on until 2am. Between Meliz the singer, George the pianist and myself, we played a lot of music. I particularly liked playing "The Greatest" with the school choir, with whom I'd gone out to lunch earlier. It was a great day and glamorous event, wonderfully organised by Caroline and Gordon Haines, and raising a lot of money. I got home at 4am. On Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday I had rehearsals, with a mock exam at school on Thursday. On Thursday I played music from the musicals meeting the students from St Michael's School at the Arts Depot, Finchley. It was a lovely evening and my three sisters really enjoyed all the singing, dancing and music, saying it was the best show they'd been to. Thanks Anne! On Friday I played live for Radio 2's Friday Night is Music Night with the BBC Concert Orchestra. It's roughly a year since I was last played for the show at the Mermaid Theatre, so it was great to be invited back. I played Kehaar's Theme from Watership Down and Piazzolla's Oblivion, in the evening's tribute to Angela Morely. The atmosphere was great, it was a full house and it went well. I spent Saturday at Junior Guildhall. Then on Sunday I was off to a fashion photoshoot in Hackney for a music magazine. CommentsLeave a Reply |
