Young musician, Tyler Rix

Young musician, Tyler Rix first came to the public's attention in 2007 when he appeared in the BBC competition
Classical Star, aged 14. 

Tyler had started learning the saxophone in primary school lessons aged 9, and a year later his teacher
recommended that he audition for the Junior Department of The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. 
Tyler has been awarded the Sax.co.uk scholarship for the past five years. In 2008 Tyler went on win 
Junior Guildhall's most prestigious annual award, the Lutine Prize.  

Tyler was signed by Universal Classics & Jazz and in 2009 released a classical chillout saxophone album, Ascent,
which reached No.1 in the Classical Charts.
