Young footballer

Tyler started football sessions aged 5 at Borehamwood FC. He was scouted by local team Hertsmere aged 7 and after just one game was moved to the 'A' team to play for the year above his age, under 9s. Tyler was scouted by West Ham Academy aged 7 and  after expecting to trial for six weeks he secured his signing after just one hour of trials. He played as left back until he was 14 training at Chadwell Heath, Essex straight after school twice a week and playing games against other Premiership academies throughout Southern England from Norwich to Southampton on Sunday mornings.

He was a Barnet area Manchester United Soccer Skills Roadshow winner chosen from 80 boys aged 8-16 when he was 9. He was invited to Captain the Barnet Borough Team aged 10 but after a short spell of pre-season captaincy took up a music place at Junior Guildhall also on Saturdays as he was already playing school and academy football on most days.

With Frith Manor Primary School his team won the largest cup around, the Dick Bailey. In 2007, aged 14, with his secondary school Dame Alice Owen's they won the largest cup, the English Schoolboys' FA Cup from the 900 teams entered nationwide. In 2006 and 2008 they had reached the semi and quarter finals  showing what a consistently good team they were. They also won the County Cup every year from Yr 7-11.  So  in five years they had only ever lost 2 cup games.
Tyler was selected for his District and for his County - the District team remaining unbeaten all season.
